Summer transforming into Autumn
I paid a visit to my favorite park in New York city on this beautiful autumn day to be a part of the magic of the changing seasons.

Montauk - Labor Day Weekend
While vacationing with family, I managed to steal a few moments to make some drawings and paintings. The weather was perfect!
Street fair in town with Montauk tower rising up in the background.
My niece Cassandra playing with abstract expressionism!
Then building sand castles.

An Elegant Afternoon
The transformative power of clothing and environment never fails to amaze me. I went to Governor's Island this past weekend for the Jazz Age Lawn Party, and I stepped back in time to 1920. It was a real treat. It was like being in a movie set with actors in costume, except these were real people, walking a little taller, sitting a little straighter moving with grace and sophistication, head to toe, as if this was their natural movement. What a treat!

Happy New Year 2012
Happy Chinese New Year! I met my friend Trang for dimsum at the oldest tea parlor in New York City, Nom Wah, on Doyers street. There were many tourists, just like myself which created a lively atmosphere and made our meal more enjoyable. If you've never have dimsum, think of it as Chinese tapas - sampler dishes of dumplings, usually 3-4 pieces and hors d'oeuvres-like dishes. We had shrimp dumplings, turnip cakes, vegetables, stuffed eggplant, pork buns, and a doughnut rice noodle roll, which I had for the first time and was weirdly good!
